Dr. Kaplan was born and raised in Central Florida. After graduating from Lake Mary High School, he attended Barry University School of Natural and Health Sciences studying biology. He applied to and was accepted for early admission to Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery where he completed his degree in 1998. He stayed in Miami, Florida for his residency program at Cedars Medical Center. His residency training was in Primary Podiatric Medicine and Orthopedics based out of Cedars Medical Center with rotations at Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami Veteran's Administration Hospital, the Dade County Medical Examiners office and Miami Heart Institute.

He is a Diplomate, American Borard of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry, Board Certified in Prevention and Treatment of Diabetic Foot Wounds and in Diabetic Foot Wear.

He enjoys the privilege of volunteering his services to the homeless and uninsured residents Greater Orlando since 2000.

Our Business

Remember, we are a home-based practice! If you decide to drive to our office you will probably catch Kelli (Mrs. Kaplan) home-schooling our two sons or any of them chasing the dogs around the property!

Dr. Kaplan is also part of a multi-specialty practice in Casselberry, Florida where is sees office patients as well as patients in rehabilitation centers and assisted living facilities. His schedule does not allow for home visits within his primary, Casselberry location. In order to see patients who are homebound, Dr. Kaplan started Family Podiatry of Central Florida, P.A. on December 28, 2007. The sole purpose of this home-based practice is to accommodate patients who are homebound or have difficulties in getting to medical offices. He sees these patients after his rounds with his primary office location are complete in the late afternoon, early evening or on the weekend.
